Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cook’s Pure Vanilla Powder
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 4 tablespoons cold water

Directions

  1. Stir together flour, salt, and Cook’s Pure Vanilla Powder.
  2. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in water with a fork, stirring only until mixture holds together. Do not over stir.
  4. Form dough into a ball and refrigerate for 1 hour before rolling out to fit a 9″ pie pan.
