Almond extract is a classic flavor used world wide in cakes and cookies. The main flavor component of is natural oil of bitter almond which is also present in the pits of stone fruits such as apricots, plums, nectarines, and cherries. Because of this, Organic Pure Almond Extract enhances desserts with these flavors beautifully.

It is important to note that Cook’s Organic Pure Almond Extract is strong! In recipes where almond extract is the hero, use one teaspoon for a standard batch. In recipes where almond extract is used as a flavor enhancer, like cherry or peach pie, use 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon per standard batch.

Cook’s Organic Pure Almond Extract can also be used as a substitute for almond liqueur (Amaretto) in recipes or to make your own almond liqueur. Recommended Usage:

In standard single batches, use 1/4 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon. As a condiment, use dropper to add 1-2 drops to taste. Finally, for wholesale applications, use 2 to 4 ounces per 5 gallons (40 pounds) of mix. Shelf life is 1095 days from manufacture. Manufacture date is listed as UDC. Store in a cool, dry, dark container away from sunlight.
